Description
At âÓ¶¹appÏÂÔØ, we’re passionate about helping every student reach their potential — not just academically, but personally and professionally too. We’re looking for an inspiring and proactive Student Development Coach to join our dedicated team and play a central role in supporting the growth, wellbeing, and success of our students.
About the Role
This is a term-time only role. As a Student Development Coach, you’ll help shape the student experience by delivering engaging and meaningful professional development sessions on topics such as mental health, healthy relationships, equality, diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and digital safety.
You’ll also work one-to-one with students, providing tailored interventions to help them overcome barriers, build resilience, and develop strategies for success — both in college and beyond.
You’ll be at the heart of our pastoral and wellbeing support, connecting students with workshops, enrichment opportunities, and specialist services that promote confidence, inclusion, and personal growth.
What You’ll Do
-
Deliver high-quality group tutorials and workshops that inspire confidence, respect, and self-awareness.
-
Plan and deliver activities that align with national and local awareness events.
-
Support individual students through one-to-one interventions, helping them to achieve positive outcomes.
-
Build and maintain strong links with external organisations and guest speakers to enrich the student experience.
-
Promote key college themes around wellbeing, equality, and sustainability.
-
Contribute to the design and delivery of campaigns and resources that empower students to thrive.
About You
You’ll be an excellent communicator with a genuine passion for student development and wellbeing. You’ll bring creativity, empathy, and a proactive attitude to every aspect of your work.
You’ll also have:
-
Experience delivering workshops or tutorials to groups of young people.
-
Experience supporting students on a one-to-one basis.
-
Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to diverse student needs.
-
A positive, solution-focused approach and a commitment to inclusion and equality.
-
Minimum Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy and good IT skills.
A background in education, youth work, or coaching would be an advantage, as would a Level 3 teaching or coaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
