When did you start 庥豆app下载, and what made you choose us to study here? 

Tobias: 

鈥淟ast year (2018), I decided to join 庥豆app下载 after doing a short 3-day wine course during the summer. I fell in love with the industry and subject. 3 days later, I wrote a personal statement and sent my application off. I was accepted and joined that September.鈥� 

Laura: 

鈥淚 chose 庥豆app下载 five years ago when I learned of the specialist Level 3 Animal Management&苍产蝉辫;肠辞耻谤蝉别.鈥�&苍产蝉辫;

 

What made you want to become a student ambassador? 

Tobias: 

鈥淏efore going to 庥豆app下载 I鈥檇 taken the more traditional route. So, I found myself studying a subject at Uni that I didn鈥檛 like (Biomedicine). After leaving, I found 庥豆app下载. I hadn鈥檛 realized just how much was available at 庥豆app下载 despite only living down the road at one point. In fact, I鈥檇 never taken 庥豆app下载 seriously. Ultimately, I鈥檝e become an ambassador because I don鈥檛 want others to make the same mistake I did. I want to promote 庥豆app下载 as an excellent place to study because it is. I want to play a part in changing the misconceptions some have. 庥豆app下载 has an amazing offering and I would like more people to know about it.鈥� 

Laura: 

鈥淚t seemed like an excellent opportunity to gain confidence in talking to new people, plus it looks good on a CV!鈥� 

 

What鈥檚 been your favourite part of your experience as a student at 庥豆app下载? 

Tobias: 

鈥淭he people I鈥檝e been fortunate to meet. We鈥檝e had some incredible times and I鈥檓 lucky to have them as friends.鈥� 

Laura 

鈥淭he memories I have made. From partying at summer ball to hiding in the shed with the goats when it was pouring with rain. From life changing trips like visiting South Africa to wandering the halls of the Natural History Museum trying to see everything!鈥� 

 

What are your plans for when you leave 庥豆app下载, career, travelling, taking a break? 

Tobias: 

鈥淚鈥檓 heading to New Zealand and I鈥檒l be doing something in marketing.鈥� 

Laura: 

鈥淚 plan to continue with my work at the  within the wildlife sector. Although I do want to travel and see wildlife both in England and around the world.鈥� 

 

What advice would you give to students who are about to pick they鈥檙e next steps? 

Tobias: 

鈥淪it down and decide what you want out of life. From that, set some long-term goals that you鈥檇 like to achieve one day. When you have an end outcome in mind it makes decision making easier. The question becomes 鈥渨ill this get me closer to my goals?鈥� instead of: 鈥淲hat should I do now?鈥�. If you鈥檝e got a target, you鈥檙e more likely to hit it.鈥� 

Laura: 

鈥淐hoosing the next step is scary and confusing. Stick to your gut feeling: you must have balance between what you enjoy and what you feel good at, and only you can choose.鈥� 

 

Random fact about you! 

Tobias: 

I鈥檓 a triplet. (2 boys and a girl). My brother and I are identical. 

Laura: 

I drink A LOT of tea! 

Laura and Tobias are students from our University provision here at the College.
