A group of 12 students from the machinery and engineering department at âÓ¶¹appÏÂÔØ visited Tracmaster in Burgess Hill today (13th November) on a field industry visit with a view to providing them with a practical and business user aspect to their course. Alex Pitt, Sales & Marketing Director of Tracmaster (www.tracmaster.co.uk), one of the UK’s leading conservation, groundcare and machinery specialists, spent the morning with the students, giving them a tour of the workshop and an insight into practicalities of the business side of land-based technology.
âÓ¶¹appÏÂÔØCollegelecturer, Alan Pitt commented: “We are extremely indebted to Tracmaster for allowing access to their modern facilities. The students are studying on the BTEC Level 3 Diploma and Certificate in Land-based Technology. The visit to Tracmaster gave them the opportunity to meet a variety of staff, experience relevant industry equipment and gain valuable experience of business operations, which will hugely enhance their College studies.â€
One of the students, Ian Hayes, 16, from Worthing, commented: “It has been a great opportunity to see the production process in action and a really inspiring trip.â€
